China's new leaders are trying to limit the flow of immigration, because they are worried that the city of Beijing could turn into a Latin American-style slum. But they have seen it all wrong, if Beijing added another 1million people it would, potentially encourage public transport, boost land prices so that big factories would move away, and attract talented people with fresh ideas. But with all the traffic, factories and people, Beijing started to suffer serious air pollution, fog, or haze. And most of this comes from energy used for everyday life, coal, gas, electricity and natural gases which are used to keep Beijing running. With the burning of gases, and coals it generates the main air pollution, along with car fumes. All the pollution when breathed in can lead to weakening of the ventilation function, damaging the ventilation function and damage to the lungs, which can lead to illnesses - bronchitis, emphysema and bronchial asthma, and some chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes.
